| Milestone Media tried, in the 1990s, to balance the Caucasian-dominated line-ups at Marvel and DC with heroes of other ethnic backgrounds-- mostly Afro-American. DC published the comics, but they remained separate from the DC Universe. and the Miletone creators retained control. Inevitably, in 1994, Superman and associates crossed the dimensional barrier for a team-up. Milestone ceased publishing in '97-- but recently, its heroes have started turning up in regular DC continuity. |
